The Welcome Wagon
Hi there. Thanks for visiting my new site. Feel free to leave any comments on this post, good or bad. Any feedback at all is appreciated. My Film Journal site will no longer be updated and I’ve moved most everything over here, including comments. (If anyone would prefer to have their comments on posts that originated at Film Journal removed on this site, just let me know.) Things should continue pretty much as expected here, but I’d like to update more frequently. I have some ideas for regular posts other than the longer reviews and the TCM Ten picks, both of which will continue.
Something new is the line of little tabs at the top of the page. Right now, I have an index of reviews and another that has every film I’ve selected in the TCM Ten (which helps me keep duplications to a minimum), as well as an archive of those picks. If you just want to see what the TCM Ten for the week is you can click on that tab (though it’s empty right now!). The Directors tab has subpages on filmmakers I especially like and have written about, and at some point a list with DVD availablility may be added. The other tabs currently include another place to see my Top 50s, my not-yet-updated lists of Shorts and Cartoons on Warner Brothers DVDs, and a Review Pile indicating what I’ll be writing about for DVD Times.
Generally, things look better and more organized, I think. The addition of extra content should be a good thing, but I’m still nervous that instead of gaining new visitors I’ll go in the opposite direction. If the people who were kind enough to link to my Film Journal on their sites could possibly update it to the clydefro.com site, that would be much appreciated. And I do encourage anyone reading to share their thoughts, no matter how brief. Thank you, as always, for reading.
Congratulations on the new site. Looking forward to reading more of your content and will try to comment more (good and bad :D).
Where is the RSS/Atom feed? That was how I kept track with the previous site.
Are you going to do a top 50 for either 90s or 30s?
Very nice look to the site and I wish you every success with it. I’ll update my blogroll to carry the new link and I’ve subscribed to your RSS feed. Looking forward to your new material.
Colin
OK found the feed ignore that previous post. AKA http://clydefro.com/feed/
Looking forward to seeing the shorts/cartoons mentioned on the WB DVDs. I hope we get some nice history of those :).
Thanks guys.
Yeah, the RSS logo looks funny on here so I put it up and took it back down. The address bar in most browsers should allow people to subscribe. Or that /feed area you’ve mentioned Shawn.
A Top 50 for the ’90s will be up at some point in the next few weeks, but I’ve barely thought about it so far.
I wrote something on the Eddie Coyle post about linking from old site to new. Welcome to the world of WordPress you won’t be sorry. Your new site is three

Ehh, thanks for the suggestion, birthday announcement, etc. Whit. I’ll take those into consideration.
